Looks like there is a new poster out for The Lightning Thief movie out. (Thanks to Mortal Net for the tip.) It look cooler than all the other ones by far, in my (humble) opinion:

Well, it has come to our attention, we are way behind on the news of the next book series that Mr. riordan is writing! the Egyption book, which will be released on May 4th, 2010, is the first in a trilogy, called the Kane Chronicles. (Kane is the last name of the two main characters.) The first book will be called the Red Pyramid, and the cover of the book has yet to be released, though Mr. Rocco is working on it now. Here are two of prictures of the cover so far:

It has come to my attention (thanks to Christof and Gambit), that our cbox is getting a tad out of control. We are giving everyone a warning that it will be closing down in one weeks' time, and that we will be replacing it with something we are more capable of taking care of, like a guestbook. This might not have a whole lot to do with Percy Jackson, but I just wanted to comment about Atlantis. According to this news article, some people have found a town in the sea off the coast of Greece. Could it be Atlantis? Just thought it wa interesting since, you know, Percy, son of Posiedon...

I heard a rumour going around that said that there would be a new Lightning Thief commerical at the New Moon movie! I'll do some backgroup checks to see if this is true or not.

Okay, so here is the latest news (sorry, I can't resist using bullets!):

• On November 2nd, Rick Riordan and the other authors of the 39 Clues series will be doing a webcast with Whoopi Goldberg! You can see the page about it here.
• On his blog, Rick Riordan says "On the writing front, I’ve launched into the new Camp Half-Blood seriesand am having a great time with it. I get SO many emails from worriedreaders saying please, please, please, please (times fifty) write morePercy Jackson books, but all I can say is chill, guys. I’m putting anew twist on things but it’s not the end of Percy and friends by a longshot. You’ll see where I’m going with it winter 2010 when the firstbook comes out, and I think you’ll be pleased (and I hope a little shocked and amazed!) but that’s all I can say for now." Hopefully Mr. Riordan will be right!
• Remember, deluxe addition of The Lightning Thief comes out on November 3rd!
• The hardcover box set of the five books is now in stores, and yes, there ARE goodies. They are in the secret compartment under where the books are housed.
• The Ultimate Guide to Percy Jackson (released around the time of the movie) will have "A compendium of information and full-color illustrations of Percy Jackson's world,including a bestiary of Greek monsters, and scrapbook of Percy's life,a guide to life at Camp Half-Blood, a tour of the Underworld by Nico diAngelo, a trip through the Labyrinth, and much more." Now that, sounds awesome!
• Next October (the 19th), there will be the release of the Percy Jackson graphic novel!
• In terms of the movie, Dylan Neal has been selected for the part of Hermes.
